In the Nyilas Inn You are guest of a more than 100-year-old residence. Nyilas Mihály, owner of this Inn has furnished his hostel in the former Buttler family’s winery.
Members of the Buttler dynasty had been notaries of town Nyíregyháza for more generations.
This old noble family built up their winery at the highest point of their estate in Nyíregyháza- Sóstó, in which vine-dressers prepared wine in the cellar of grapes planted at the estate; while the owners entertained their guests upstairs in the big saloon.
The town citizens and legendary characters of the gentry’ times enjoyed resting here surrounded by nice hospitality.
The Sóstó-admirer Krúdy Gyula was one of the favourite guests of the estate and was often invited to events that lasted for more days, but he often drove out of the city either for a pretty lady’s sake or for delicious dinner with friends as well.
